(2013) 10 x 16 x 2 inches. Inkjet print of an unedited photograph, face mounted on acrylic, cast lead crystal, oil paint.

This work is an unaltered photograph of an optical illusion that can only be produced with binocular vision. The photograph is made using a handmade object, cast in lead crystal and painted on one side, covering only enough of the surface to create an illusion for the camera. In this project, glass is in dialogue with photography as a material able to mimic the translucency of human skin while also referring to the camera's lens.
