(2010) Dimensions Variable. Car stereo, welded steel, car battery, sound recording, paper programs.

While driving between Boston, MA and Providence, RI I would often doze and drift onto the rumble strip. The sound produced was jarring, but melodic and I noticed that it changed based on the speed I was driving. After weeks of experiments, making recordings of the notes produced when I hit the strips at different speeds, I arranged the song Sometimes When We Touch, by Dan Hill, to be performed by six cars on I-95. I broke up the composition like a piano piece. There were four cars to perform the right hand part and two for the left hand. I drove each of the parts separately and mixed them together afterwards, but would like to have the piece performed live by professional drivers.
